About Ski area KRONPLATZ
Kronplatz (German) - Plan de Corones (Italian) got its name from the peaks of the mountains that resemble a rooster's crest (krone - corona = crown, crest), and therefore the trademark of the ski resort is a red rooster's head with a prominent crest. The ski resort covers almost the entire surface of the mountain of the same name in the center of the Dolomiti Superski ski region. Of the approximately 116 km of ski slopes located on sparsely forested slopes, as much as 90% of them are covered by snow cannons, which extends the season into late winter. This ski resort can boast of 4 descents from the top to the foot of the mountain, with a length of 5 to 6.5 km. The ski resort is surrounded by 13 tourist spots, the most famous of which are Bruneck/Brunico, St. Vigil/San Vigilio (on the trails themselves), Olang/Valdaora, Reischach/Riscone, Rasen/Rasun, St. Georgen/San Giorgio and St. Lorenzen/St.Lorenzo.
